Well we went the Sunday School felloship last night. Had a lot of fun, talking to the other ladies and Jordan had tons of fun playing with the associate pastor's son. Grace and Jamie, I have no clue. The ladies were nice and talking to me, kept hearing the famous questions "How long have you been here?" "Where are you from?" "What brought you here to Fargo?" and I have to answer these questions like 5xs last night and answer with a smile. Only problem I had was that I felt out of place and out of my comfort zone.

1. Most of you know that I LOVE my jeans and I wore jeans going to church. Here, this church is conservative and most of the ladies here wear skirts all the time. Sometime I feel like I am bacj at the Bubble. Which I guess is not bad, but still it is different here. Well, I go to this fellowship last night in jeans and in my UK Wildcat shirt. The ladies that show up, are in their skirts and nice PLAIN CASUAL shirts. I am in my KENTUCKY BLUE with UK WILDCATS in blue and white polka dots. Their little girls are also in skirts too, mine is in jeans. It is just different here. Jamie said he is not changing who he has been, the sad thing is he does not have to. He can show up to church and functions in anything he wants to wear, because he is a guy. Me?? I am still going to wear my jeans, when I go to other people's houses but when I am at church and at the functions at the church I will be in skirts. It is easy for the guys, because they are in jeans. Not soo easy for the women.

2. People here are friendly and nice, kinda has the southern feel in a northern state. But here they are really not northern. They are a mix between the western and Canadian, and somehow they have that southern feel. Also, kinda weird...but people take their shoes off, when they enter into someone else's home!! So not use to that LOL But I have had a few people show up at my house taking their shoes off. Even the people who install like the cable and internet take their shoes off before they come inside. Really weird!!! Only thing I can think of is because the way the winters are here, that they take their shoes off to not track in the snow and they just get into that habit through out the rest of the year.

  1. You know we...well I am searching for a new church to, and I pray that my husband will come with me, but if not then so be it. At the church we are at my husband and I are the youngest couple followed by my parents, there is nothing for the kids and I am a contemporary song kind of person with a small band or something of that nature. We sing hymns played on a song box...hymns are nice at times, but the song box gets to me. I also like wearing my jeans and will not wear any thing else. Good luck with your search and I will be praying for you.
